Onion sets (Electric), shallots (Jermor), spring onion (winter white bunching), cultivated rocket (Eruca vesicaria) and coriander (Coriandrum sativum) are sown in 'Winter' plot. Cardboard is cut out and put down along rasberries and then covered with mulch. Paths are marked out and covered with mulch.

First seeds sown in "Winter" plot: Broad bean Aguadulce Claudia and limbers yellow carrot.

Sieving the soil for an easy start of the seedlings. The holes for the beans were about 2 inches deep and 4 inches apart.

We planted the first 2 plants in the Bustan: Rosmarinus officinalis and Thymus 'Faustini'
The holes where made in the "winter" plot and about 12 inches deep and 18 inches in diameter.

Use a fork to loosen soil. If not using humus to mix with the soil, make sure you add some of the good top soil to give your plant a rich start. Set plant in the hole.

If you are not sure about the ground level, lay a stick across the hole so you are able to see the nursery mark clearly. Place the soil around the roots and firm it.

Water thoroughly.
